This special is a thorough retrospective of Jackie's most popular characters from his 1950's television series, characters that include: Ralph Kramden, Reginald Van Gleason, III, the Poor Soul, Fenwick Babbit and Joe The Bartender. Many of the sketches have not been available or even viewed since their original live broadcasts. STROKE OF GENIUS juxtaposes the calm and emptiness of a morning spent waiting for a letter, where ostensibly little to nothing happens, with the turmoil on a cosmic scale caused by the waiting man's existential ambivalence about his legacy and purpose.

In 1967, Dr. Thomas Starzl stunned the world with the first successful liver transplantation. His breakthrough provoked controversy. Critics accused him of recklessness, even murder. Others declared it the beginning of a medical revolution. "Burden of Genius" is the story of an innovator as complex and elusive as the biological secrets he unlocked. It is also a reflection on the price of scientific progress by the man many consider the greatest surgeon of the 20th century and the father of transplantation.

A strange man appears in Pagoda Park. His name is Young-sung. Another man stands in a corner, carefully takes in his every move and tapes him with a camcorder. His name is Ahn Sang-gi, a self-proclaimed film director. Young-sung spots a high school girl and begins to follow her. Her name is Jin-kyung. The three meet in a cafe and become inseparable in a matter of hours. Madame Sul-hee, owner of an exclusive club, introduces them to many high level officials. Young-sung begins to tell fortunes for the many individuals they meet including a powerful politician to a corrupt national hero and Sang-gi collects fees. In the midst of all this, Jin-kyung schemes to get pregnant with Young-sung's child, and Sang-gi is convinced that he is close to realizing his dream of becoming a film director. Little do they know that Young-sung's clairvoyance is not permanent.

Dr. Ivan Nikolayevich received a bronze candelabrum as a gift from Sasha Smirnov, who was grateful for his cure. But the doctor is embarrassed: the candelabrum is very immodest - two completely naked naiads. The Doctor is thinking: who would he give this unfortunate present to? Suddenly he remembers that he owes lawyer Ukhov for his consultations. In turn, Ukhov, driven by the same feeling as the doctor, gets rid of the gift, giving it to the comic actor Shashkin on the day of the benefit. Shashkin, deciding that such a "work of art" could compromise him, sells the candelabrum to an antique bronze store owned by Sasha's mother Smirnov. And Sasha, delighted that at last he has found a match for the donated candelabrum, gives it to the doctor.
